I have been always a Windows Mobile pocket PC fan and with my new phone, I coudn't ask for more. First of all, it has a black matte finish which resembles a scratchproof casing (although it it is not) and projects a very maculine look. Its sleek compact design makes this unique device very easy to carry everywhere with its free leather belt case with velvet in-soles. Another feature I like most is its built-in Wifi coonectivity. Nowadays, where practically all malls in the Philippines are equipped with Wifi spots, it is very comfortable to just sit, check your emails and surf your heart out for FREE! Oh, did I mention that the Dopod 818 Pro is already installed with Window Mobile 5 which I think is very powerful and stable. Additoinally, the device has a built-in 128 MB storage space for your third party applications, utilities and games. You can also add more starage using a MMC or a SD card if you are fond of music and movies. I myself have two 1Gb SD cards to store my MP3's and Videos so I can keep myself entertained anytime.
I download all my applications, utilities and games on a very cool website called http://www.pxdxa.com/. Here, there are tons of stuffs for free that you can download not only for windows mobile, but also for other types of phone such as Nokia and Sony Ericsson. Here are some of the applications installed on my phone:
1. Rylee Fretboard Addict - For mastering the guitar fretboard.
2. Celeris Virtual Pool - A really cool real time, 3D billiard game.
3. Astraware Text Twist - A fun word game.
4. Oxios Memory - An app used to close open applicaiton on your PPC.
5. Thunder WM5torage - Programs used to turn your PPC into a storage device and copy files without using ActiveSync.
6. PPCSoft ShutXP - App used to soft reset your device.
7. oldSAP Cleanup - Program used to remove the "recently opened programs" on your Start Menu.
8. Resco Explorer - App used to navigate your device for files.
9. Resco Registry - App used to edit the registry of your device.
All of these programs can be found in the website and there are more. So just search and browse. Another cool site is http://www.airfagev.com/. This is a Filipino site for Windows Mobile Phone enthusiasts where you can download themes, ringtones and free applications. You can also post messages on the Forum and ask for assistance, advice and even give yours too.
I have been a Windows Mobile phone user for 5 years now and I don't see myself using another type of phone in the future.

Your Dopod is cool but the latest NOKIA N95 have excellent features that Dopod doesn't have.
The camera has 5 mega pixel, it has a GPS which would be effective in Europe travels (of course not in the PHI), the voice recorder is really very sensitive, has wifi and it has a lifeblog that autimatically creates and updates your diary.
This toy also operates in MS Windows although its an added cost to purchase the program, but not too expensive.
Okey, mate ...we're lucky to have this gadgets...
